Other Attractions

Apart from the larger theme parks there are plenty of other attractions to entertain the whole family. A visit to Gatorland is sure to impress the kids and on Saturday night stroll around Old Town and watch the classic American car display. Less hectic days out can be enjoyed at Silver Springs, for example, where you can take rides in glass bottom boats. There are many other attractions which is why people visit Florida again and again and still don't manage to see it all!

Perhaps one of the most interesting and unique days out is a visit to the Kennedy Space Centre on the Atlantic Coast. Here you can take a bus tour around the centre to see the launch pad and stand next to a Saturn V rocket. This is one of the most fascinating days out you are likely to experience and if you are lucky your timing may coincide with the launch of the space shuttle.

No trip to Florida is complete without a visit to the Everglades. This is an ecological wonderland where you can see fascinating wild life and alligators in their own environment.
